Music Programs

In addition to singing hymns with the congregation, Good Shepherd offers a variety of opportunities for musical participation. If you would like to use your musical talents to help enrich our worship experience, please consider one of the following:

Vocal Choirs
Eleanor Collins, Director

The Sanctuary Choir normally sings at both services on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month from September - May. The choir also sings at special services throughout the year, such as Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday.

Rehearsals are Sunday mornings between services from 9:30 - 10:30. Rehearsals begin the Sunday after Labor Day and go until the 3rd Sunday in May.

We are always looking for more singers and new voices! The Sanctuary Choir is open to youth (grade 6 and up) and adults. Please consider joining us--no experience is required, and it's OK if you miss an occasional Sunday.

The Youth Choir sings at various worship services throughout the year as determined by the director. Rehearsals are on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month during Sunday School.

Bell Choirs
Linda Jerome, Director
(608) 317-1335

Good Shepherd has two handbell choirs, Adult Bell Choir and Youth Bell Choir. Each choir performs several times a year from September - May.

Adult Bell Choir rehearsals are Sunday evenings from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

Youth Bell Choir rehearsals are Sunday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

New members are always welcome in either the Adult or Youth bell choirs! For more information, please contact Linda Jerome.

Special Music
Randy Lyden, Music Director

Good Shepherd offers a variety of special music throughout the year.

Young Peoples' Preludes offer budding pianists a chance to perform before the start of worship.

Soloists who wish to perform during the worship service are welcome, particularly in June, July, and August when the Sanctuary Choir and Bell Choirs are on hiatus.

Instrumentalists can take part in the Brass Ensemble that plays for special services, or accompany the Sanctuary Choir for select pieces (contact Eleanor Collins if interested).
